I have a Samsung SP-P4231 plasma with a single vertical line (only about 1 pixel wide) running from top to bottom directly in the center of the screen. The line shows on all inputs and even on the on-screen menu. It is for the most part, a black line as it is not visible on black areas of the screen but it appears white when it intersects the on screen menu's blue bars and ive also seen it turn red. I have removed and cleaned the contacts of the F-Buffer with no change. Before I buy a replacement f-buffer, can anyone with experience tell me if this will likely solve my problem? Thanks!

Re: Samsung SP-P4231 vertical line f-buffer?
Normally one single line out on the display is a failed Panel meaning its unfixable sorry. Can you get a picture of it ?Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. Anyone Doing So Will Be Banned Instantly !

Re: Samsung SP-P4231 vertical line f-buffer?
Hopefully the pic is in high enough resolution that you can see how it changes colors when intersecting the OSD. According to Samsung's plasma troubleshooting guide, a solid white or black line is almost ALWAYS the panel but "other lines that vary with content" are almost NEVER the panel.
I guess my question now is, in theory, could the F buffer possibly cause the vertical line above it? The part is only about $20 but i'd rather know for sure if there is any possible way to do that.Comment

Re: Samsung SP-P4231 vertical line f-buffer?
Ahh right, I would say failed panel sorry more than likely the address driver has failed. You can try a new F buffer to see if any of the nodes have become flaky and not making connection I personally wouldn't bother but up you mate. Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. Hi,
Just now my Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN monitor gave up on me. On cold boots I get many vertical stripes going across the screen (see the attached picture). After it runs for 1-2 minutes those go away but there are horizontal stripes going across the whole screen no matter of the input and PCs I use. (couldn't take an picture of it since the image size goes to 20MB and the camera doesn't pick them up)
In a video about a 27" monitor with an similar issue the guy removes one resistor and supposedly the entire monitor goes back to life? For sure this fix is only temporary....-

by almarhumHas one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?
As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...-

by ChrissygizmoHello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same... -
by Stanley1843Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

by ChrissygizmoHi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...
The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...05-26-2024, 12:05 AM - Loading...
