    LG 50PX4D-EB - PSU E247691 Start Up Procedure.

    Hi all, got a E247691 PSU in for repair (not complete TV just PSU board). I believe the TV is a LG 50PX4D.

    It's possible the PSU isn't actually faulty because the owner just assumed it was the PSU because it was clicking on/off so i need to power up the board correctly on the bench to check.

    I have checked AC detect its ok at 4.2V DC. I have also linked RL-ON to STBY5V and i get all the smaller voltages correct. At this stage the board is NOT clicking. I want now to activate Va & Vs in turn but can't seem to get either to come on. (pics attached of board & connectors). i have tried all the usual combinations but unable to activate VA or VS. I see there is a pin marked VS on but can't see a Va on so maybe it's supposed to come on when all the lower voltages come on, anyway know?

    Anyone know how to power up/test this board correctly and/or know of common problems ?

      So you have jumped 5v to vs-on?

          Hi, yes i have connected VsOn to 5v & nothing. Shouldn't i be able to activate Va first (as on Samsungs &some other LG boards)

                  All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
                  • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                  • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

                  I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

                  Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

                  I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

                  The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

                  With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                  Hello partners.

                  Could someone tell me how to make this Philips TV source work without the mainboard being connected? The model of the board is EAX65423701 (2.1) and the model of the Philips TV is 40PFH40009/88.
                  The TV is dead, there is no standby light, however there is a voltage of 12v on the pins ( included 12v VAU ) and 3.2v on the PS-ON pin (see photo) when the power board is connected to the main board. If I disconnect both boards I only get 8 volts on 12v pins. I would like to rule out a fault in the main board by making it work, but so far no one has been able to tell...

                  Hi There,

                  This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

                  After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.
