I just fixed a tv last night for resale and didn't realize till it fired up, there was some scratching on the panel. I tried scrubbing with glass cleaner and tissue, but still some there. Anyone know a sure fire trick to fix it?

Re: scratches in lcd led panel
If the scratches are not too deep, I have had success with the plastic headlight polishing liquids sold at most car shops. The hassle you face with scratch removal, is if do you polish it out, you risk creating a shinny spot on the matte front finish.

Lots of sites talk about scratch removal, but what they are really doing is filling in the scratch void with things like chapstick wax, vaseline and even olive oil. White pencil rubbers don't remove the scratch, but tone down the sharp edges on the scratch.
The questions you should be asking first are, is the scratch affecting it while it runs or is it purely an aesthetic fix when the tv is off? If its affecting it while on, then it's usually a very deep scratch, white rubber may tone down the light transmission caught on the edges. If it's purely an aesthetic fix, consider getting a piece of thin clear plastic and put it in the frame between the bezel and the panel face, just be careful of any air gaps causing rainbow-colored interference patterns.
Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) can also be used as it softens the plastic an allows some of it to flow slightly, but you'd want to really practice that carefully on screens you don't want.
I haven't used them (hard to get here), but you can also try dedicated products like Novus 7100.

But again, it's polishing the surface. Good bye matte finish.
Alternatively, a large version of this type of screen protector is available, but at a price
