Re: 42PQ6000 Clicking fast not powering on

Just wanted to post a thank you for this thread. I had a Zenith Z42PQ20 with this power supply. It was exhibiting the rapid clicking upon plugging in which brought me to this thread when I searched. Immediately checked the diode stated here and found it to be shorted. Swapped it out and the TV is back in business.

            PSU - BN44-00878A

            Symptoms:

The TV turned itself off, and I haven't been able to turn it back on. The standby voltage was unstable and lower than it should be.
A weak clicking sound was coming from the transformer.

            Progress:

After the transformer, I measured four Schottky diodes. DM862C and DM864C diodes readings were 003 in both directions. After detaching them from the circuit and measuring them, DM864C was the shorted one. These Schottky diodes are SB550.I...

PSU Clicking On then powering off & looping.
            by TheDevastatedOne
I have two higher end PSU's here.

One of them is an EVGA 1300 Supernova G2 when I jump the "power on" it begins to power up, fans spin, voltages go down the lines as I connected a case fan to the 12volt rail and it spins up as well. But then what sounds like a small faint relay clicks and it powers off, then powers back on again and repeats this power on/off loop.

I also have a new Raidmax 1000W Scorpio which does similar (right out of the retail box I might add) it will begin to power on then click & shut off. (This one does not attempt to restart until...

HP Power Supply 6632A: Fast Mode vs Normal Mode?
            by cook
            FAST MODE vs NORMAL MODE

I have recently acquired a HP 6632A DC power supply. I am just beginning to use it and I have been reading the manuals for it. It is the first power supply I have ever owned or used. I am a very beginner hobbyist and do not have an engineering background, as may be obvious by my question...

I can't seem to understand what the actual use is for the 'Fast Mode' or the 'Normal Mode' on the power supply. Although the manual states what the two modes do from a engineering/technical standpoint, I don't know enough to understand what it all means,...

[SOLVED] M1 MacBook Pro clicking sound logic board 5V no power on A2338 820-02020
            by slimmy182
Hello, I bought this Mac from a friend, he said that it simply stop working. The MacBook looks very clean but does not power on, stuck on 5v 0.42A, and sometimes display 5V and 0A (then 0.071A and again 0A).

I opened it looking for some problem, it was not touched before for sure and the board is very clena, no spot of corrosion at all from what I can see. Voltage on multimeter of the board off the case it's the same, 5V 0.42A. But then I noticed this "clicking sound" come from the board ( I attached here the audio file).

Looking on google I found this:...

Denon AVR-X4000 – Fast red blinking after 2nd relay
            by SevenOFF
            Hi everyone,

I’m working on a Denon AVR-X4000 that goes into protection mode (fast red blinking LED) shortly after the second relay click.

According to the service manual, a fast red blinking LED indicates a DC detection (DC_DET) or ASO (abnormal current) fault, meaning the unit is detecting a potentially dangerous condition on the power amp or power supply side.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:
            • Fully opened and cleaned the unit (a lot of dust inside)
            • Removed and visually inspected the AMP board → nothing visibly damaged or burned
            • Testing is done with
