I really think now the main is bad. I just wish I had access to a schematic. I work at a nuclear plant in the instrument shop and we have an awesome electronics repair shop.
I'm sure I could fix it if I could trace the circuit

Try the one from the main board to the T-CON board next.
The main board is WAY TOO expensive for a 42" TV.

Just disconnected the LVDS from the main board. No change
