Sharp TV LC-42LB261U- Doozey! No LED from power after the PSB has been replaced

    Sharp TV LC-42LB261U

Wouldn't turn on when plugged in. No LED indicator either. Thought for sure this would be a PSB problem.

Replaced the PSB the first time and thought it was just a bad unit. Returned. Ordered new PSB. Plugged this one in and still the power button does not a thing when touched.

Puzzling... And I'm a TV repair noob, so I request guidance from the elder gods. I have a volt meter and a soldering kit.

Could this somehow be a problem with the actual cord connecting the PSB to the button board?
Could this be a main board problem somehow?
    Waddup wit dat?

    Edit:
Oh, I also checked the DC voltage out from the PSB.
The schematic on the board said:
    15. 5v 16. 5v
    12v 12v
    12v 12v
    12v_A 12v_A
    GND GND
    GND GND

And sticking the pins in each one of them I only got a few that read 15v. Is that normal?

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
        by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

MSI MS-16W1 no power, EC replaced by other.
        by MicroSMD Lab
Hi, I'm working on a MSI laptop, Motherboard number MS-16W11, GF-65 Thin 10SDR-459US. Went to another shop because the screen was flickering, but it was working well on an external monitor. The LCD was ordered and the laptop was returned to the customer and it no longer worked. It was then sent to another tech (by the shop who ordered the LCD) and the EC (ENE KB9028Q) was replaced with a donor from another MSI board with different board number and no programming was done. It looks like work was done on PU6 (TPS51225) as well as one of the GPU mosfets was burnt (I removed all three GPU mosfets)....

Sharp 80” long short flash backlight error - Help
        by Superbee_dad
        Hello Sharp TV experts
Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.

        > I checked voltages on the power supply board and they all check out .. including 3.28 volts at the error pin.
        > There is power to the cpu and T-CONN and no faults found there. The cpu has a flashing...

Philips PSU (715G7350-P01-000-002S) No stand by light (0V)
        by blablaro
        Hi all,

This is the source from a Philips TV 43PUH6101 that suddenly stopped.
        I know it's the source since I have ~ 0 volts on outputs 12VA/16VA, 12V/16V, +3.5/+5V

For the latest weeks I've been trying to figure out the problem with this. I've ordered all kind of mosfets, a capacity meter and other things to try to figure out the issue with this PSU. My wife thinks I'm crazi but I want to repair it

Initially, when I started the testing with the multimeter on diode mode (220 V on):
        - discovered that was Q9101 shorted (or I shorted it)
        ...

TV Sharp LC-49CFE6242E - not working
        by betmen
        Hello,
I get one old TV, Sharp LC-49CFE6242E which is not working.
When turning on the TV, the inscription SHARP is displayed on the screen and after a few seconds the TV turns off.
So far I haven't found what voltages should be at the output of the power supply and I haven't made any measurements.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
