Sharp TV LC-42LB261U
Wouldn't turn on when plugged in. No LED indicator either. Thought for sure this would be a PSB problem.
Replaced the PSB the first time and thought it was just a bad unit. Returned. Ordered new PSB. Plugged this one in and still the power button does not a thing when touched.
Puzzling... And I'm a TV repair noob, so I request guidance from the elder gods. I have a volt meter and a soldering kit.
Could this somehow be a problem with the actual cord connecting the PSB to the button board?
Could this be a main board...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Fellow here.
I'm kind of a serial entrepreneur of sorts and I have a hobby of fixing electronics. I'm interested in learning more electrical engineering things as I believe it'd be super cool to be able to design my own ballasts or crude AV receivers.
That'd be neat.
However, as it stands right now my abilities are somewhat limited. I can spot a puffy cap, buy a replacement and solder it in. I can also take a guess as to which board is causing a problem on a TV and order a replacement...
