I looked at my ss board and it had a short transistor dg302.So I ordered the kit from shop jimmy.i recieved the kit and installed it and it shorted out again.i noticed on the kit for the tc-p50ut50 one the was a ic but not on the tc-p55ut50.is there another component that shorts out.

Re: Tc-p55ut50 8 blinks
I would always replace it if there is any doubt.
You can check the resistance from the output to Vcc or ground.
Or use an oscilloscope to check the gate with the IGBT missing - it should swing between 0 and 15V, and not be stuck at either end.Last edited by tom66; 09-21-2015, 02:02 PM.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Tc-p55ut50 8 blinks
No mate, a SO-8 40V N-channel FET is not the same as a FET driver IC.
Here's a tip. JRC = Japanese Radio Company, 4840 is the IC number
Google JRC 4840
And this should be it.

Re: Tc-p55ut50 8 blinks
Makes sound like it can be used but i am not sure waiting for dg302 to come i order i will try find orginal one if not i will try bd8694.i am thinking this ic driver is probably my problem. What is strange is shop jimmy includes the ic driver for 50" tv and not the 55 one.Comment

Re: Tc-p55ut50 8 blinks
Here is what i have found out bd8694 is actually in the kit used for the tc-p50ut50 it is the bigger size ic chip.the tc-p55ut50 uses the smaller one.i will have to look at the diagram for the tc-p50ut50 to see if they are wired the same.and the only difference would be size.ic152 is the bd8694 that is used on the model tc-p50ut50 and it does not use and it does not use ic153.the board numbers are the same just the chips are different in size.and they both have the spots where to mount the chipsComment

by BiruslapioBought this TV used not working, panel flashed briefly on power up and it was blinking 8 times, a quick look on SS board revealed a common fault on the 3uF 250V capacitors, C201 to C205 (C1620X in the service manual), the solder joints were all cracked, C201 and C205 pins were darkened and some sparking had occurred on them, C201 was split open and clearly overheated in its last hours, replaced that one and resoldered the others, 8 blinks fixed.
Also the previous owner broke the antenna connector by taking the TV out of the wall mount forgetting to unplug it, I desoldered the tuner... -
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

by Taurus12Does anyone have an idea of what might be the issue with my 3050 micro? I have tried replacing new cmos battery but still the same
I am not sure if its the powersupply that I'm using is the issue since its the original powersupply. its a laptop powersupply with the same specifications with the 3050 micro so i guess it should be fine.
i also tried replacing the bios but with no avail, everytime i try another bios it gives a different blinking lights
Any recommendation on what I have to do next? Thanks in advance -
by jchonHi I'm new to trying to repair TVs, but I saw a broken OLED offered for a reasonable price and thought I'd try my hand at it.
I found the service manual, which was critical to know where to probe.

With it I was able to determine that my DKA board was bad, when P_ON#1/2 gets enabled REG_12 on the DKA board collapses. I'm assuming one of the downstream regulators has a short, but I couldn't work out which rail/component and replaced the DKA board entirely.
Unfortunately the 5-blinks... -
by mmischniGreetings friends,
I have a Panasonic TH-42PX75U manufactured in 2007. It has been trouble-free until recently. One evening I turned it on and it then powered back off and gave 7 blinks.
First a question about the blinks. Everyone only speaks of a single number of blinks. I noticed on my TV, it blinks one fewer times for the first group of blinks, then blinks the full number repeatedly. So for my first code in question, the TV switches off, blinks 6, then blinks 7 repeatedly. When I disconnected the SC board, the TV switches off, blinks 7, then blinks 8 repeatedly.... - Loading...
