Tc-p55ut50 8 blinks

I looked at my ss board and it had a short transistor dg302.So I ordered the kit from shop jimmy.i recieved the kit and installed it and it shorted out again.i noticed on the kit for the tc-p50ut50 one the was a ic but not on the tc-p55ut50.is there another component that shorts out.

The ic that is included in the kit for tc-p50ut50 is ic152 but i think ic153 does the same thing i wonder if that is causing my short.the tc-p55ut50 does not use ic152 but has ic153 and tc-p50ut50 does not have ic153 and does have the ic152.

Looks like part number is C0ZBZ0001936 could this be cuasing my short

My part dg302 shorted again could the ic that powers it be shorted

Yes, the bad IC can damage the new IGBT.

I would always replace it if there is any doubt.
You can check the resistance from the output to Vcc or ground.
Or use an oscilloscope to check the gate with the IGBT missing - it should swing between 0 and 15V, and not be stuck at either end.

Pin 7 out to ground i have 98.71 k ohms

Numbers on chip are 4840 n46 jrc

You need to check to Vcc as well.

Vdd is 1.1 million ohms

No mate, a SO-8 40V N-channel FET is not the same as a FET driver IC.

Here's a tip. JRC = Japanese Radio Company, 4840 is the IC number

Google JRC 4840

And this should be it.

BD8694 i noticed some panasonic boards have this chip is it the same

May do the same job but I believe that's a ROHM product. Never found a datasheet for that one

Interesting when you google C0ZBZ0001936 it gets hits for BD8694 so maybe there was a change in supplier which may mean you could use BD8694 as well?

Makes sound like it can be used but i am not sure waiting for dg302 to come i order i will try find orginal one if not i will try bd8694.i am thinking this ic driver is probably my problem.What is strange is shop jimmy includes the ic driver for 50" tv and not the 55 one.

yeah, well you know kits are not always the sure fix. I've never touched one of these so I can't help much either but replacing the driver is probably good practice. It's really hard to know what gets taken out. I've done 2010 Sc boards and doing the driver is pretty much essential. yet I've done a couple of 2011 SC boards and gotten away with just the IGBTs.

Here is what i have found out bd8694 is actually in the kit used for the tc-p50ut50 it is the bigger size ic chip.the tc-p55ut50 uses the smaller one.i will have to look at the diagram for the tc-p50ut50 to see if they are wired the same.and the only difference would be size.ic152 is the bd8694 that is used on the model tc-p50ut50 and it does not use and it does not use ic153.the board numbers are the same just the chips are different in size.and they both have the spots where to mount the chips
