The tv takes four to five trys to turn on . I push the power and black screen and menu come on perfect awaiting signal but as soon as signal is sent a high pitched squeal happens with a scrambled type picture , see below photo. I have tried hdmi 1, hdmi2 they both do the same thing, and hdmi 3 never even trys to get a signal just Samsung menu present. Is this a main board issue or could it be a capacitor issue on PS. The tv originally would now turn on it would just click, so I replaced two or three bulged capacitors on PS with some slightly higher in value. Tv then comes on but with this issue. Once tv trys to start with the scrambled sceen it shuts down automatically and trys to start again. It will start normal and play all night after four to five trys.

I would have recap the power supply board, not just the one that have bulged tops since bad cap can look normal but can have high ESR.
Did you also use low ESR caps or general purpose caps?Never stop learning

Common problem with this model and main board. Replace C102 or C101 on the back of the main board (can't remember which) and it should fix the problem.Comment

If it has squealing sound and power cycle, then it will be C102.Never stop learning

it squeals and trys to come on , then it shuts down, restarts by itself trys to come on scrambled image and squeal. Then it shuts down by itself and restarts , while the image is scrambled and squealing i cannot turn it off with power button.Comment

I will just preface all this by saying that I have a fairly technical background but have never attempted SMD electronics diagnostics and repair before, I really like the idea and want to learn.

Have to turn C1 on and off multiple times for it to fully come on
Have to run LG C1 on multiple times for it to fully work
If I have it off for a while I have to turn the TV on and off and handful of times for it actually display what it's suppose. The times it doesn't nothing comes up like the input or dobly vision logo. Once it's on I can turn it off and back on fine and the picture looks perfect.
Unhooked everything except antenna. Reset tv to factory settings. Let it sit and when I tried 2hrs later turned TV on and sound comes through but no picture.... -
I recently picked up a Quadra with a Apple Multiple Scan 17 Display. The Quadra was not working, it clearly had corrosion from leaking caps so I replaced them and luckily it chimed and worked properly.
The next problem to tackle was the screen. Sometimes it turns on and off multiple times before finally turning on, and then it sometimes turns purple. After waiting some time, without doing anything, it regains all colors. Another symptom is that it sometimes seems to momentarily blink.
