RCA L32WD26D has to warm up before displaying properly?

I had picked this set up a long time ago with some kind of alleged panel damage. It's been sitting in the garage for awhile, and I was cleaning up. I remember it didn't power on, but the person that sold it to me swore it "did" power on.

Well, it seems the power on issue may have been as simple as a loose power cord. Unit appears to power on, and plays sound, etc. The display was flickering a lot, and I was seeing a sort of ghostly delayed image. Let it play the DVD for about 10 mins , and when I came back to take a picture , the display looked perfect!

After powering off/on a few times, and observing, it seems to be some sort of issue triggered by heat. The panel does feel quite warm. When I power on to the black no input screen, I can see the flashing horizontal stripes and other defects in display, but I don't think the actual panel is cracked.

Could this be a connection to the panel? Mainboard? Thanks for any ideas!

      Are tab bonds ever repairable?
