Panasonic 50" LED TV TX-L50B6B Not Switching on - 3 Flashes from Standby Light

Panasonic 50" LED TV TX-L50B6B Not Switching on - 3 Flashes from Standby Light

Tested main power supply/main board connector and can only get voltage from one pin which constantly varies from 2v-3.5v

    Suspected power supply fault ?

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks

Disconnect all jacks from the PSU leaving the AC Input jack. Plug in the TV to the AC and see if STDBY 5Vdc is produced. On your DMM remember BLACK probe on the chassis and the RED probe on the Pin to be tested, selector on 20Vdc. Report your results.

      Hi

Thanks for the reply. If I unplug the LED driver board I get a steady 5.2v on the standby pin but when I plug the LED driver board back in it jumps around from 2v-3.6v ??

      Thanks

Try unplugging the jack that goes from the PSU to the MAIN BD with the LED Driver BD unplugged also. Then measure the STDBY 5Vdc and see if it is stable or not.

          Hi

I reckon I've sourced the problem to being the LED driver board because if its unplugged from the PSU the TV turns on for a few seconds obviously without any picture then the TV turns off with a single blinking standby light. Seems to be a weak point in this particular TV going by the amount that sell on Ebay.

          Thanks

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

                After all of...

LG 49UB850V not switching on / standby LED off / LD701 blinks 5x
                by Seb932
                Hi,

i'would like to fix my not working LG 49UB850V tv.

                Symptoms:
-AC plugged in, Standby LED not working
-Switching on, Standby LED blinks 3x. LD2300 on mainbord lights up and after ~30s LD701 on PWS board starts to blink 5x repetetive

                Checked already:
-Powersupply Output in Standby => 3.5V ok
-Switching On => PWR_On on P201 goes high and 3.5/12/24V are present on P201

Any suggestions what to check next?

                Thanks in advance!

Panasonic TC-P60S30 - no standby voltage
                by BobbyMJ
                Hi All,
Wanting to learn some electronics repair skills.
I found a non working Panasonic TC-P60S30 and this is my first project / attempt.

So far I have found a blown cap on the main power supply board.
After replacing it there's still no standby power.

Poked around and found a resistor on the PSUB power supply board that measures open.

An online resistor calculator shows this is a 93k ohm resister.

                My questions:

                Is that correct, 93k ohms?
                Is it a fusible resistor?
Lastly, how do I know what wattage?...

Modification to a ZD-987 desoldering/soldering station using a external switching power supply
                by sam_sam_sam
I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails

I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time...
