So I bought a new (used) main board and installed it. Now I have sound but still no picture. I ordered by part number but the board I got has a couple inputs in different places. Would the fact of it being different cause it to only partially work like this?

I was try to plug in HDMI2 on my LG 60PN5000-UA
But the HDMI come off the board and was move back in side the panel , ( I assuming might get short other components on the board )
Now it not turn . When I plus the power , it sound click and the red light in fonts stay on . Try power on But it won't turn on.
I removed the backpanel re-solder the HDMI back on the board then inspected the main fuses they still Good. All the capacitors with an X , till look good .
But say
Till can not turn on. Please help.

If it is a different part, it could be for a different panel which could cause a lot of issues, the best thing to do is match EAX number rather than EBR number .

According to my order number the EAX number is the same. Is it possible there is more than one design for the same exact part number that is compatible with my tv?

Actually just double checked. The EAX number matches but the EBR is different (1 digit off). Of course the one that matches mine is more expensive >

Update guys

The wrong mainboard I tried above let the tv have sound but still no picture. Then Bought a used board of the correct model and have no pictures or sound still.

Also should I hear a click from the y board when I turn on the tv? I only hear a click from the power supply

Well since the ysus voltages checked out fine, gonna try replacing the lower buffers since they are cheap.

I'd Really appreciate it if someone could chime in with something else I can check out, thanks

Tried booting up tv with only upper y buffer attached and then with just the lower one attached to see if I got any picture, but still nothing on screen. Also do not appear to hear the slight humming i should hear from y main board. Anyone?

Since I've had no response, I decided to buy a new (used) t-con/control board to see if that is the proble.

Check for Va on the lower address-boards.

I've checked for it on the y-main board at the designated test points and it was good. Is there test points on the lower buffers as well?

Bump, I replaced the t-con/control board and now I have picture!

However the picture is slightly solarized in areas, and the whole picture appears to be on the dark side. What could it be now? I saw something that said it could be bad z-sus, but I also saw it could be bad panel which I really hope nope considering what I've already put into it. Any one have input of what to do now?

Anyone? I'd like to know if this new issue is fixable or if it just sounds like a bad panel at this point.

I have the same problem LG50ps30 no picture sound remote etc work, checked the voltages VA VS they are all spot on. Did you end up getting it fixed? I notice that the chip in the middle of the board you said you replaced on mine is very hot almost cant touch it.

The two big boards with many large heat sinks are cold
