Samsung PN50A450P1DXZA - red vertical line

My Samsung 50 inch Model PN50A450P1DXZA started showing a vertical red line on the left side of the screen a few days ago.
Has anyone experienced the same issue? I have seen another thread where someone had a problem with a black vertical line within the middle of the screen, but my case seem to be a little different. Any help is appreciated.

    Also,
Is there a way to tell how many 'TV-hours' has been used? I heard that this can be shown in the 'service menu', but all combinations that I have tried so far will not let me get into this menu.

    Thank you very much.

Samsung UE58TU7100K - no picture, vertical line
      by mrsith
      Hi.

Got UE58TU7100K with no picture - backlight comes on though. Figured out that's a perfect candidate for cut tape method.

This model has just one LVDS tape coming off main board - and two panel boards underneath the LCD screen are connected to each other via small tape. Like curved screens. I've tried to disconnect half of the screen (5he side without LVDS connector on it, obviously), no joy.

Disconnected the tape (main board side). Applied a small piece of tape, covering first ~4-5 pins. Powered the TV on - got picture. In negative, but that's...

      Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
      by TrueSword88
      Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

      Hoping to fix...
