Pioneer PDP-LX5090H 8-blinks

Pioneer plasma model PDP-LX5090H.
Sometimes blinks 8 times, sometimes start up.
Cannot locate service manual.
Any advice what 8-blinks code is?

Message Tom66 he knows these sets inside and out. 8 Blue blink is normally caused by a 1.8v regulator on the AV board which has gone intermittent I will send you a link to a video that can help.

Hello from Spain, I have the same TV with the same 8 blinking LED only when warm start, I have checked the IC Regulator that says in the video and when the tv is ok I have 3.3V in the input and 1.8V in the output. But when the tv is with the led blinking I have 0V in the input and the same in the output.

Any ideas?

Yes, it now works after changing the regulator.

Same on my set. The regulator output 1.8V when set worked, 0.0V when faulty. Replaced the regulator and the set works perfectly 18 months later still going strong, fixed another one with the same fault as well.

I have fixed two of these high quality plasma sets, by changing the regulator.
In the first case the regulator would occasionally work, but after a minute or two, the 1.8V drops.

Just fixed one based on this great input. Did not have the correct part, but used a snall Intersil EVM, for ISL8016. Used a glue gun and three wires to connect, saved my friends day

I measure 0.76Amps out of a 0.8Amp regulator ( Poor original design)
Now a 6Amp switcher is in place

Oh my GOD there is a lot of electronics in this beast, and I can hardly handle it myself....

It took longer to remove all the 78 ( !!) screws and get them back than to fix the issue.
