Oops! And all it needed was a fuse and a wire replaced.

Yeah, I did this. It was a Polaroid FLM-3232. I got it from someone who tried to fix it but failed. It had a badly burnt wire on the harness leading to the inverter. I'm pretty certain the inverter was replaced already. So, I dropped a TV with a cracked screen a couple days ago and hit this one, but I wasn't sure if it hit the screen or the housing. I kind of knew, but was hoping for a bit of luck. At least I fixed it.

Oh, and one bad cap I forgot I'd replaced.

With a few more cracks and lines, it might not be mistaken for modern art!

Lol, I've thought some had artistic qualities before.

          too bad

Bummer! I guess you can still try to sell it as-is and see if anyone else can use the parts.

Accidents happen. It's prettier than the last cracked screen I looked at that still fired up.

I support my hobby by selling parts anyway, but I had someone looking for a 32" so this was nearly sold. I have another Polaroid which looks identical except it has a DVD player. If it's the same panel, I may switch it since I can't get the DVD player to work anyway.

This is really caused by not having enough room to work. I have 19 TVs in my 12'x13' living room, 3 in the hallway, 1 50" plasma in the kitchen leaning against the fridge, 3 in the shop (which is really a converted 8'x10' bedroom), and parts everywhere. I'm moving next month to a place that's about 4 times this size, plus a 1 car garage.
