    Bush LCD37TV016HD Vertical Lines Problem

    Hi guys.
My father in law has had this TV for approx 6 years with no problems until about 2 weeks ago.
When the TV gets turned on its fine for about 5 minutes (sometimes it lasts only a few seconds) but then LOTS of vertical lines appear.
Its so bad that the picture on the screen just vanishes when this happens.
Tried HDMI, Scart, Composite etc but it still happens.
Took the back panel off & had a look at the PSU board & T-Con board but not really sure what I'm looking for tbh.
I've googled this problem all day & read the various posts in the forums but most of them are to do with the TV not powering up so not much use to me really.
TV powers up & there is sound.
If I turn off the TV as soon as the vertical lines appear & then turn it on again the lines are away, but they just reappear again.
Time varies from seconds to 20ish minutes.
Any help/info to try & sort this problem out would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hello unfortunately I would say that lcd panel has failed which will normally need replacing. Have you tried re-seating all the cables the go from the tcon to the lcd and the lvds cable ect ?
If the lcd panel is at fault you can buy these fairly cheap off ebay let us know if re-seating the cables helps.

Tried reseating the cables I can see.
Removed the board that hold the PSU, t-con board etc but there's a lot of dirt & I still need to remove the actual boards to be cleaned.
Seen this LCD panel on eBay which comes with LVDS, t-con & inverter boards.
It has a few scratches but that wouldn't really bother me, just unsure if its the correct panel as it says v 0.1.

Thanks, the t-con board is only £20 so I'll try that first.
Sometimes the screen flickers before the vertical Libes appear & the fact that if I turn the TV off & on again & its fine for a few minutes made me think the LCD panel was fine.
            Cheers

Totally cleaned the inside, made sure everything was seated correctly & it happened twice in about 3 hours. Now its not even lasting a minute.
Is this the correct board, quite unsure lol.http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAIN-BOARD-2...676?nav=SEARCH

First. it has no picture at all. i solved it by covering the ckv lines using tape to to block the connections

Second. now has picture but with vertical lines that follow the image. tcon board ic overheating

tried blocking LC lines too, but same results

is it lcd panel issue or tcon board issue?...

                Hello again everyone,

This is my latest mission, to try getting this Sony tv back to normal working order…

I've only just got it today, when you power it up everything is as should be, in fact it works perfectly for a few minutes then the screen starts getting horizontal lines on & eventually the full screen goes back, I will upload photos of the problem & also some photos of the board etc. You might notice that I'm busy trying the tape method, I'm not sure exactly where the clock lines are so I'm just guessing & hoping for the best lol . I've already tried...

                Sony KDL-40V3000 - Vertical lines
                by gpo23
                Hello,

                i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :

With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :

I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)

Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?

                Thank you for your help

                by Returning Buick
I have a G810 monitor i've had for years but it has developed a problem with vertical collapse. Is there anybody here who has worked on these and can help me find where the circuit even is for the vertical deflection?

Thanks for offering your assistance with this. I'm an electronics enthusiast with moderate level of competence (have a decent lab with two power supplies, microscope, DSO, hot air, good iron, can competently work at a component level on SMDs, design and solder own PCBs etc). I really enjoying fixing things and learning new stuff so took up a free 58" LED TV and have been googling and watching Youtube videos to see if I can fix this! I am happy to go down to individual component replacement/strip replacement etc - it's all in the name of learning.

The issues are as follows: the...
