    Panasonic tx-p50vt20b

Guy came into our shop today with a nice looking 50" Panasonic vt20 powered on and top left hand corner of the screen was missing completely black with sparkles pixels were primed by the ysus but weren't being discharged for some reason. My work partner said it was bad screen but I said that its worth us reseating the connectors that drive that part of the screen so unscrewed it all unplugged the ribbons for that side of the screen cleaned them with IPA reseated and the screen is back and working fully.
All of this was done in under 30 mins the customer stood over us didn't charge any thing as didn't cost us nothing but a small bit of time. Another tv saved and a nice one to also very happy customer leaving us with pride and a very good review
Guess that the moral is don't straight away assume because its always worth a try where as my business partner said it was faulty panel just a simple loose connector good stuff.

    Nice fix.
    It's pretty common on these.
I recommend tightening the screws after, improves reliability.

Cheers, I did make sure they were tightened down afterwards seems like a good tv.
