panasonic plasma tc-p55vt50 3 blink code

Hey guys new to the forum, hoping to get some help with my panasonic plasma. my panasonic 50" plasma died after 4 years with a 7 blink code, now my 55" is on deaths door after only 2 years with a 3 blink code. unplugged it for a few hrs. plugged it back in and did it again. unplugged it, called pc richard tv repair, long story short they charged me 100.00 to stand in my living room for 15 minutes because it wouldn't do it again, said its sure to do it again call back, i asked for an estimate given the codes should provide a clue as to what was wrong. he said he would call me in a day or 2, never heard from him, 3 days later the 3 blink code is back, called for another appt. 2 days later, he doesnt even bother to show up, just says he called panasonic and the parts are 650.00 labor another 200.00. I asked what the part #'s were he said its against policy to give that information out. only it was a power board. so i'm hoping to find out what board it is and see if i can find it on ebay or something and replace it myself and save many hundreds of dollars. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chris

Did you ever find the source of the 3 blink problem and get it resolved?

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
        by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

Panasonic Plasma repair - TH-P60GT50 - Dead, 3 blink code
        by rmacintosh
I aquired this Panasonic 60" plasma around the time my first child was born. It was meant to be a project tv, hoping to fix it chipping away at the repair in my free time. Well that was 2 years ago and i'm really just getting around to making a sincere effort to see if I can ressurect this beast.

The symptoms of the tv ar as follows:
        • Plug AC in to back of TV
        • After about 2 seconds the relay on the P-sub board will click on and then a fraction of a second later it clicks back off
        • The 3 blink code is given by the power LED
        • If the TV is unplugged and then

Panasonic Plasma tc-p55vt50 6 blink error code
        by orbit417
        Hi All,

Thank you in advance for your advice.

I have a Panasonic Plasma tc-p55vt50 that's about 9 years old and has just recently stopped working :-(

I noticed that when I turn the tv on I hear a click then screen comes on for like half a second then shuts off and the led blinks 6 times.
I did some googling and found several video's on trouble shooting all sorts of blink codes. I finally came across one that showed 6 blink error code but for a different model. It recommended disconnecting the SC board to determine if it was the A board or power...

        Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks
        by jm1234
        Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

        Hi everyone!
I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.

Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.
