Who's good with plasmas. Description below Lg60pb6600v plasma tv

Have a 60" lg plasma model lg60pb6600v switch it on clicks then second or 2 later clicked off. Inside the tv power goes from psu to Zsus then out to ysus board if I disconnect power cable going to ysus the tv stays on and powers on off with remote but not pic on screen does this mean ysus is knackered? How can I test further I have multimeter

            Yeah that is definitely busted.

Plasma aren't my strong point and only know basic diagnostics and troubleshooting.

One of the other guys will help you further

busted and burnt so across that maybe short. I'd remove that and check the buffers for shorted buffer ics, ysus may also be damaged .

not a LG specialist so a little unsure what you can get away with whether these can run with that buffer fully removed and get just picture on the top half.

Would have to try and find a training guide or someone here has more on the LG stuff.

Do you have audio ? The fact that you have a burned cap on a buffer and with the Y-sustain disconnected the set stays up is a pretty good indication that the problem is there. Might just be a buffer but it is always best to replace those 3 together. Both buffers and Y-sustain

I have audio when ysus disconnected it's only time it will stay on I've tried disconnection 1 buffer board but it shuts down also I'll get the buffers off and test the ic chips for shorts is there a way of repairing the ysus surly the full board isn't knackered

Check everything on those black heatsinks for shorts.

If you find any check everything around the shorted area.

You may find only a couple of IGBTs are shorted and replacing them might get the ysus up and running.
