    No Power on Panasonic Plasma

I have a Panasonic TXP50X60B which acts as if no power, the person i purchased it from said they plugged a tablet into the USB socket and it shut off the tv and the tablet and neither would come back on, fortunatly he was still under warranty with the tablet. i have plugged it up and no red stby LED from what i can see. i have tested voltages going to mainboard and have attached a picture showing voltages. 2 of those voltages tested jump between .01 of a volt.. im guessing something has went on mainboard but how can i be sure.

Sorry missed the bit about the LED.

DCV 600v on meter. Black to - of main cap and red to + (Cap on its side)

As stated careful, Don't let the probes slip and keep your hands clear

Re: No Power on Panasonic Plasma

Hm no power at all i was going to ask if he heard the relay click while plugging in but i don't see a relay at all on the PSU. I guess the BR just gets power off the shot on plug in. This looks pretty cheaply built comparative to what i typically see in the Pannys i get in my shop

If you get nothing, newtothis is suggesting the right stuff, start on the hot side see if its ok, IE: blown fuse and go on from there to the secondary.

99% bad standby control IC on bottom of board. Cheap part on eBay, SMD soldered. See other threads on this forum.

checked the little white soldered on fuse at side of power in and fuse is fine.

                                          Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...
