    LG 47G2-UG Horizontal Lines

Hello all, having some issues with my LG 47G2-UG Google TV. I have persistant horizontal lines that seem to "fade" from left to right. Basically seems to be from left side to about middle of screen but maybe more in the 2/3's range, far right is clear as day. Theese lines are evenly spaced from top to bottom at about I am guessing few mm or maybe 10px. The are probably only 1 px thick. Based on what I have read in other threads this will either be a T con or a panel issue. Is there any tests I can perform to confirm one or the other? Really don't want to order a t con just guessing Thanks in advance

Most likely the panel is bad.

                    All too common these days

It is starting to look more viable these days for me to get a rebonding machine to repair the bloody things!

                        List of good TV brands:

                        Panasonic
                        Sony...ish
                        LG...ish

And Panasonic ain't superb with their rebadging of Vestel garbage in some of their model lines - should be ok for US sets though

Certainly avoid Samsung... LG is usually OK actually... not superb, but given a rather mediocre bunch they start to look alright.

For a reliable set (If such a thing exists!)--I would look out for a TH-50PZ80/81 Panasonic--Old yes, a 1080p set but with high power cons,(500W--you'll need no room heating!) but at least reasonably reliable--Bonus it can be Fixed if it Does fail, and has damned site better picture than this LCD junk around today!

                            by Ihandyrepair
                            Hi guys

I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the...

Sony XBR-65X750D Horizontal lines bottom of screen
                            by ggil44
Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Sony XBR-85X950G Gray horizontal lines and vertical picture shift diagnosis?
                            by noisykid
5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...

I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...

                            Samsung QE50Q67TAU - horizontal lines
                            by Rubenlily
                            Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...
