Panasonic LCD TC-L42E50 Pink and Black Vertical Bars

My husband dropped a water bottle on the floor immediately in from of the TV armoire, picture started to do what is seen in IMG_2424. Thought it was the sat box, since it didn't appear that any water had hit the TV. Then the pic turned into IMG_2425, and now it is thick black-ish bars with a 1/4" magenta bar following the black bars.

A friend thinks it is the A board...

    Haven't removed the back yet...

Looks as if water has hit the T-CON or it has hit the screen (and if the Tab bonds are at the bottom has killed the panel)

        Concur anyone?

This will be a bad LCD panel due to water damage, not usually repairable. The LCD panel tab drivers and PCB are exposed on the bottom of the frame. The A board or T-con wouldn't cause this, they aren't in the path of any water. New TV time, I'm afraid.

Had a feeling the tabs may be located at the bottom
