toshiba 40l1333b lcd tv

hi,

I'm currently working on a toshiba 40l1333b tv with a display problem,
it switches on fine and displays fine , but after a random time (could be 30mins could be 1 min) the display shuts down and i get sound but no picture.
tested the power board and thats fine, the display shows absolutly nothing.
im thinking it could be a fault on the main board or the inverter but im unsure.

any help would be great.

Posting pictures of the back of your tv showing the boards with clear pictures may help you more with fixing your problem

This problem is due to the connections inside the LED backlight failing. It is repairable, but it is very difficult to do so.

You are going to have to dismantle the whole lcd panel.
Then the bridge the connections between the led strips with wire.
The problem is the connections between the connectors from the sound of it.
If you have dimming occuring anywhere on the screen before this happens then you need to replace the led strip as well...

Yes, another piece of VESTEL junk sold as a Toshiba - no better than any supermarket junker, yet £60 more expensive!

Quite funny

that if you break the tv for parts..
its nearly worth more than the tv whole
that made me feel better with one with a failed panel a while ago

but if you set aside an afternoon and get a helper its doable.
awkward to do
but nothing hard to do to be honest.
