Hi guys,
I have a LG 47LA6900v tv that was switched off by remote last night and this morning will not switch on at all. ive tried unplugging and holding the power button in to drain all power but to no avail. ive tried switching on with buttons and remote as well but cant get it out of standby. it doesnt flash or change colour just the standby light.
any help would be great.

yes it is 17pw26 , takes forever to power on but found 5 caps that are blown, 2 470uF 35v, 2 1000uF 16v and the 2700uF 16v , thats the only cap i need and i dont have it -

can you switch out a 2700uF 16v With a 4700uF 16v electrolytic capasitor on a tv power board?

hi all,
Having a few problems with this samsung, it was powered off for a week and when it was put back on the screen was as pictured.
tried to change the settings and a factory restore and tried to get to the ddr settings in the menu but would not let me change it.
can anybody advise on things to try? or is the mainboard gone

hi,
I'm currently working on a toshiba 40l1333b tv with a display problem,
it switches on fine and displays fine , but after a random time (could be 30mins could be 1 min) the display shuts down and i get sound but no picture.
tested the power board and thats fine, the display shows absolutly nothing.
im thinking it could be a fault on the main board or the inverter but im unsure.
any help would be great.

thanks for getting back to me,
i have tried dissconnecting the x and y (just to check them) they both fed back the relevent sos flashes , the trouble is i checked the speakers and main board they seem fine have not yet tested the power board (due to dropping multimeter down around 10 solid stairs
and smashing it.) surely if it starts and powers up it shouldnt be the power board. im quite possibly very wrong but i am used to nice 3 - 5 board lcd tv repairs.

Hi There,
I'm looking for a bit of assistance on a Panasonic TH-50PZ81B. It is the first plasma tv ive worked on and is causing me a bit of grief.
the problem is once turned on it starts up ,fans run, and display works but after around 10 - 15 seconds it shuts down and i get 12 flashes from the power indicator.
i was reading a different post from a while back and it confused me a bit as this is a sound sos error and things led to the a board then the p board.
just a bit confused and would appreciate some assistance.
