Hello,
I am a green newbie here, my original plasma TV is a pioneer PDP-502MX that I purchased new in around 2002, I also bought a 55" vizio from costco in 2006.
That was pretty much my total exposure to plasma TV's.
Last week I bought a TC-65PVT50 used and unfortunately I cracked the panel trucking it home,
I see that the panel cannot realistically be replaced with an original panel for under $1000, but I did see a refurbished panel for sale at partstore.com for $240, I am wondering if this is a decent replacement, has anyone had a good experience with these substitute panels in any of the panasonic plasma's.
I don't have a definite answer regarding shipping but my order has "free shipping" and there could be a $40 extra charge for more than 30lbs less than 80lbs or extra $70 for more than 15k cu in.
I am in between replacing the screen or selling the remaining parts.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
dave in NJ
