no, sometimes you can find the firmware easier with the details from the lcd sticker but i cant find any regarding your last post about non working hdmi etc i would try and find a replacement mainboard as i doubt firmware will fix the issues your having.ducky29 has offered to locate the correct firmware its up to you if you want too try that first.

Ok thank you for the quick reply and advice.

I've tested the PC, it works fine.
About the TV what do you think of my suggestion for an "hotel mode" issue, I know that sometimes when a device is in this mode, only 1 HDMI port is usable (usually with a "box" plugged with HDCP in automatic mode for paid channels, VOD etc...)?
That was my first thought when audio volume decreased drasticly and that's why I'm desperately trying to find the service manual for the 17MB822, in order to test that hypothesis...

maybe re loading the correct firmware would reset the whole tv? so would not be hotel mode?

Exactly what I'm thinking too, but I would prefer to use the service code to do that.
Impossible to find the service manual or any cheat code anywhere even on the vestel's techies site.
The hotline number I got was wrong and there is NO CONTACT on the paper user's manual which seems like a joke to me (1 page!!!).

If they charge with a fee for the integral firmware I would be ok to pay for it but only if I'm sure that the version/revision of the firmware correctly fits my device (by barcodes) because this TV is still usable as unique device for the home so I don't want to brick it...

Here is a capture of the main screen from the service menu of the tv in case of any need.

            Re: 17mb82-2 Firmware ???

            Hello,

some news after cleaning/checking (& shaking...) all connections onboard:
            - HDMI 1 still unstable with various devices (but not with the box from my ISP so that's great!)
            - HDMI 2 still dead with all tested devices
            - VGA port back to life (?)
So this TV is still usable as monitor in 1920x1080x60 (the PC reports the freq as 59Hz) but I must use automatic PC position after each boot in order to have the screen fitting the LCD panel.
I will wait a more definitive problem before trying a complete firmware upgrade/restoration...

Thank you for all your advices, I'll be back here often because I've learned so much from this board and I can't stop reading.

            It's always a pleasure!

            Ps,
I still need the maintenance guide for the 17MB822 if someone could care about that I would really appreciate.

Once more thank you all anyway!

              Hello to everyone ,

This is my first post here, and i would like to share with you a small story in case you can help me.

Docker Type-C Gen 2 - Model 40AS. Was given to me by a friend for free ,but with the problem that you cannot use the video output ports.

All ports work , USB , Ethernet, Type C ... but HDMI + Display Port don't work

I searched on reddit and google for problem similar to that, and a LOT of people had fixed this problem by updating the firmware. So i tried , i searched and found 1.1.13 utility and 1.1.20 utility that can help...

              Ubiquiti firmware help. US-8-150W POE
              by gurj1979
              Hi guys.

I've got a Ubiquiti US-8-150W POE switch which has issues with updating the firmware.
Turned out to be a bad EEPROM chip. It would read the firmware and work as normal, but failed to write new firmware to it.

So I took off the chip and read on EEPROM and saved it. Wrote to old chip and failed to write
Got New chip and writes good.

              THE PROBLEM...
It fails to fully load the firmware, POE lights fail to work during g firmware test during load. I'm suspecting bad EEPROM Read.

Does anyone have a Good Firmware I can have?...

              AOC AG493UCX 49-inch monitor - Firmware request
              by wattage
              Hello Badcaps Community,

I purchased a preowned AOC monitor that is not working and out of warranty. It was sold as not working. I am looking for guidance on self-repair. In particular, I am after the firmware for the monitor. At the end, I have included monitor model information and links to pics and vids of the issue.

The problem is that it will not display a picture on any of its inputs. And the on-screen menu does not appear. The power button works properly. It powers on with the remote as well. But the on-screen menu does not appear, even when not connected to any...

              Hello,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a recent experience I had with a laptop that had a Type-C Port issue, specifically related to a PD (Power Delivery) controller problem. After replacing the damaged PD controller chip with a new one I purchased from AliExpress, the laptop now charges properly and negotiates power as expected, allowing the device to power up. I've replaced this chip twice just in case.

However, it seems that the laptop's BIOS is detecting an older version of the PD Firmware on the newly installed chip. As a result, it attempts...
