Re: LG 50PA4500 not turning on

Does the power supply turn on automatically with the main board unplugged in this model?

Ie, do you get va, and vs voltages without the mainboard?

Need to check the buffers fully.
More than likely there will be a short.

Here's a quick way to tell if its got a short.

I have 2 identical buffers here one good one had a short.

Notice that 2 of the pins on the top connector ar tied together, the rest are ground.

A good buffer should be very high resistance like this. 205k

Bad buffer low resitance. Like this only 44ohm

Re: LG 50PA4500 not turning on

            I'm back
            To recap.
Tv clicking - shorted ysus board - replaced ysus and buffer boards no more clicking, tv still does not power on.
Pressing power button does nothing (red led is on).
Seems as if it is stuck in stand-by
Verified Vs (206) & Va (55) on power supply- OK.
Verified ysus board across the components and -vy is 190vdc and vsc is 150vdc - OK.
Next was to check buffer boards.
Hamie the boards I have are different than the ones in your photos.

On the upper board I checked the resistance from pin 1 (arrow on board) to the rest of the pins on the 2 connectors. Connection P701 6.6 M ohms, P702 3 ohms.
            http://assets.shopjimmy.com/media/ca...748601-TOP.jpg

            Lower board has 3 connectors.
            P801 (center) 300 K ohms, P802 3 ohms, P803 different measurements from open to 1 M ohms.

            Am I checking them right.
And thanks again for all your help.

Hello everyone! This is my first thread asking for help and I'm new here so please be nice

I'm trying to repair a Samsung TV but not having much success so I've came across this forum and it seemed kinda nice and friendly. The TV is clicking on/off (relay) and I can't seem to put my finger on the issue. The image looks fine (since I can get a glance at the "Smart TV" logo when it boots). But it's just an endless loop of on/off. If I disconnect the mainboard from the PSU it stops doing the "clicking" sound but that's about it. I've already got a used mainboard...

[SOLVED] M1 MacBook Pro clicking sound logic board 5V no power on A2338 820-02020
                by slimmy182
Hello, I bought this Mac from a friend, he said that it simply stop working. The MacBook looks very clean but does not power on, stuck on 5v 0.42A, and sometimes display 5V and 0A (then 0.071A and again 0A).

I opened it looking for some problem, it was not touched before for sure and the board is very clena, no spot of corrosion at all from what I can see. Voltage on multimeter of the board off the case it's the same, 5V 0.42A. But then I noticed this "clicking sound" come from the board ( I attached here the audio file).

Looking on google I found this:...

Toshiba 55UL610 - Constant Relay Clicking
                by rustyanthony
                Howdy,

My stepdad said all it does is click. And he was right. No backlight, no standby light on the front. Just a steady click when plugged in. It's amateur hour on my end but I'm trying my best to learn via forums and Youtube. Below I'll list the things I've done thus far.

                1. I've removed the power supply board and cannot visually see any defects, expanded capacitors or cracked solder joints.
                2. Fuses test good.
                3. Bridge Rectifier(I believe thats what it's called) reads out 169 volts.
                4. 5 volt from PJ91 tests good.
                5. The relay only...

Carver CM-1090 - Power relay clicking on & off, then fuse blown after 20-30 seconds of power cycling.
                by beetle1303
I gotten a Carver CM-1090 amplifier from a friend who has kept it in storage for decades. Opened it up, thick layer of dust cumulated everywhere. Vacuumed it semi-cleaned, and blown off as much as possible the remaining dust. This is a 220V version.

On initial powered up with nothing connected - it works with all the lights and button indicator lit up as pressed, etc. I then powered off, connected a CD player into the CD RCA input and powered it on. It seemed to work for a short while and when I turned the volume up and down to see the the VUs works, the power started to clicked off...

HP 450 g1 keeps turning on even tho I shutdown/sleep . one way to stop the turning on cycle is pressing the power button few seconds thus force powering it off. But then sometimes it does not turn on at all but next day I try again to turn it on and it turns on....
