Samsung ue55d8000yuxxu turning on/off and clicking

Hello everyone! This is my first thread asking for help and I'm new here so please be nice

I'm trying to repair a Samsung TV but not having much success so I've came across this forum and it seemed kinda nice and friendly. The TV is clicking on/off (relay) and I can't seem to put my finger on the issue. The image looks fine (since I can get a glance at the "Smart TV" logo when it boots). But it's just an endless loop of on/off. If I disconnect the mainboard from the PSU it stops doing the "clicking" sound but that's about it. I've already got a used mainboard and PSU thinking it was either one of those the issue but the issue still presists which is weird. Do you guys think that I might have gotten a damaged used PSU or mainboard? Or what could the issue be?

The problem is in the backlight, please note that in this model the backlight will not turn on with the mainboard turned off.
But there is a problem in the eMMC firmware.

Is there any way I could test for that?
I've disconnected everything from the mainboard and PSU and keept them both connected together and it still does the "clicky" thing (that's the reason why I thought the issue was with one of them).

          The PSU is The bn44-00428a
And the mainboard is the bn41-01622 (have to check if it ends with a, b or c).

Please provide pictures of the power supply. Especially of the voltages that are next to the connector.

Update: Ended up being indeed the backlight. At least I think it was. I didn't finish the job but it is working now without one strip of the backlights. For anyone in the future with the same issue, this is what I did: I simply cut one of the wires on the cable that connects the PSU board to the Mainboard. That wire was the backlight PWM. There was 4 wires, each controlling one horizontal strip. I tested them one by one and once I got the fourth wire then the TV turned on and was on and alive again!

              Thanks for all the help

Samsung HG49EE690 Hospitality TV reboot issue Mainboard BN94-11086A
                by alltvrepairs
                Hi,

I have 3 of these TVs for repair with same problem of going to standby after around 10minutes and start again continuously. I have tried a new SPI 25Q40 but fault remains. Am suspecting a CPU problem as it gets a bit hotter than I expect.
This seems to be a common problem in these models. I am 100% sure it is a mainboard issue as I have fitted a spare from a normal TV from a UE40K5607 and stays on (diplay inverted but I managed to rotate in SM using a different display).

                Any help appreciated!...

Samsung SyncMaster 740n Phase Control Issue
                by vincentedel
                Hello,
I'm having an issue with the Samsung 740n's phase control setting. When I use the automatic adjustment, it sets the value to around 54 (with a range of 0-100), and the picture looks clear and sharp. However, after some time—like after playing a game—the text starts to look blurry. When I auto-adjust again, it may increase the value to 80, and everything becomes sharp once more. Yet, after a while, whether it's a few hours or a day later, the same blurriness returns, and I have to adjust it again.

I'm using the Samsung 740n monitor drivers instead of the default plug-and-play...

                QE65Q800TATXXC Samsung TV Issue
                by Manucsl
                Hello.

My TV is a QE65Q800TATXXC Samsung TV.

Issue : When you plug the 220V, voltages are OK on the power board and you can hear the click from the relay, but TV is not starting when power button is pressed. Red led is blinking when you press power button. But no images or sound ( Back-light is off )
Then if you disconnect the cable from the main board to the power supply, the TV back-light turns on.
Any ideas to check would be very appreciated 😊

After reading some posts on this forum, I suspect an eeprom issue so I bought a CH341A to dump...

Samsung UE46F6400AWXXC not powering on, standby LED off
                by UltimateNeutrino
Hello, since yesterday our Samsung UE46F6400AWXXC no longer powers on, with the standby LED off. It turned off when someone attempted to clean it, not sure if related. A few days ago, there was a similar issue, but it was solved after unplugging and replugging the power. Additionally, another user of this TV reported issues of the screen turning off randomly, which were solved changing the channel.

I originally suspected the PSU, but if the mainboard is unplugged the PSU relay closes and the backlight turns on. It's only when the mainboard is connected that the relay doesn't close...
