    LG 50PA4500 not turning on

    Hello
I am trying to fix a 50" Lg tv that had clicking and would not power on.
    I found this post
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...light=50PA4500
And this is where I'm at.
Clicking was constant on the power supply and by disconnecting Y-sustain the clicking stopped ( 1 click when powered up) and the red led on the main board stopped flashing, replaced Y-sustain and buffer boards (came as a set) and now the tv will still not power up but no constant clicking.
With every thing plugged in I get red power led and red led on main board and a flashing green led on the logic board.
Power supply with everything disconnected except power I get 0 volts Vs and 0 volts Va with everything connected 206 Vs and 55 Va.
I tried jumping m-on and stby pin 1 & 3 as suggested in above thread and nothing happens.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

the power supply will need the mainboard to turn on.
WIth only the powersupply and mainboard connected does be tv turn on. Ie: no clicking and perfect vs va voltages?

With power supply and only the main board plugged in I get just 1 click and 206 Vs and 55 Va

Ok well the powersupply and mainboard appear to be working.
That's not to say that the powersupply isn't failing under load but that's doubtful.

Ok now unhook the buffer boards from the ysus and power on.

with the buffers unhooked locate the test point on the ysus for vsc (vscan)

Power on. If the tv stays on, and the vsc matches the panel sticker it would suggest bad buffer boards.

Also note the vsc voltage might only appear briefly when the tv is plugged in. Then slowly drop to 0.

There should also be a test point for -vy.
                    Should match the panel sticker.

Hello everyone! This is my first thread asking for help and I'm new here so please be nice

I'm trying to repair a Samsung TV but not having much success so I've came across this forum and it seemed kinda nice and friendly. The TV is clicking on/off (relay) and I can't seem to put my finger on the issue. The image looks fine (since I can get a glance at the "Smart TV" logo when it boots). But it's just an endless loop of on/off. If I disconnect the mainboard from the PSU it stops doing the "clicking" sound but that's about it. I've already got a used mainboard...

Hello, I bought this Mac from a friend, he said that it simply stop working. The MacBook looks very clean but does not power on, stuck on 5v 0.42A, and sometimes display 5V and 0A (then 0.071A and again 0A).

I opened it looking for some problem, it was not touched before for sure and the board is very clena, no spot of corrosion at all from what I can see. Voltage on multimeter of the board off the case it's the same, 5V 0.42A. But then I noticed this "clicking sound" come from the board ( I attached here the audio file).

Looking on google I found this:...

It's amateur hour on my end but I'm trying my best to learn via forums and Youtube. Below I'll list the things I've done thus far.

                                          1. I've removed the power supply board and cannot visually see any defects, expanded capacitors or cracked solder joints.
                                          2. Fuses test good.

I gotten a Carver CM-1090 amplifier from a friend who has kept it in storage for decades. Opened it up, thick layer of dust cumulated everywhere. Vacuumed it semi-cleaned, and blown off as much as possible the remaining dust. This is a 220V version.
