No that's on the power supply.

I need to stress you have do not have a problem with your power supply.
That kit is for for "the tv clicks on then goes back to standby'

You have a constant vs and constant va, and permanent panel glow.
The power supply and ysus are performing as expected.

You have either a faulty control board or a faulty mainboard.

I'm fairly confident if you replace the mainboard your tv will work again.

If you can't find one for the 50pk590.
The 50pk350 might share the same boards.

Can you shed any light on the LED flashing differently on the control board ?
Should i put the other IC back ?

I believe it's a temperature indication - I'm not certain it's a fault code. I remember reading somewhere in an LG manual.

EAX = Assembly number, whole board w/ exact parts
EBR = Board number, blank PCB with possibly many options

                Use EAX over EBR

                    Re: Lg 50pk590

Just thought I'd update this, I recently repaired a 50PK350. Whilst repairing it I noticed that someone was selling a 50PK590 with a faulty panel, I bought it to see if you can easily upgrade and downgrade this TV with the mainboard swapped.

You can, and the back cover of the 50pk590 also fits perfectly on the pk350 front.

if you don't have a broken screen you would have to make some modifications to the back cover if you are forced to 'downgrade' to the 350.

Just though I'd post this incase anyone struggles to get a mainboard for the 590 and just wants a working TV, As the 350 mainboard are more common.

Or if you have a 350 and want to upgrade it so that it has 4 HDMI and 2 USB along with HD freeview and internet access. Keep you eyes peeled for a faulty/broken 590.

                      hello

im struggling with a different fault sound but no picture
VS 202 volts VA 59 volts also Zbias is good
but -vy = -18 volts vsc = 19 volts on the Ysus

what i have done so far
1.Removed buffers voltages still the same
2.Removed Zsus from power supply still no change
3.Checked the three 10 ohm resistors on power supply all readings good
                      4. Tried jumping control board with main board disconnected but nothing

                      any ideas

                        Re: Lg 50pk590

                        You have a faulty y-sus.

Usually checking the heatsinks for shorts would be a good place to start.
But considering that you can buy a replacement y-sus for £14 on eBay it's probably easier quicker and even possibly cheaper just to change out the board.

Hi, sorry to resurrect an old thread, but my 50PK590 just started doing this. The set turns on, the screen glows, but it won't show any picture including menus etc.

I'm not very electrical, but would appreciate your help. I've also found this service on eBay which seems promising...

                                Hi all,

I've got a LG 50PK590 plasma TV which upon plugging in will click three times and the red LED in the corner will come on and stay on, the TV however doesn't come on (no humming, sound, video, etc.) and using the touch controls or the remote does nothing. On exceptionally odd occasions, the TV will come on and work normally when plugged in and will last about 5 minutes before going back to off and unresponsive.

I've got the back off of it and none of the caps stand out as visibly buggered, I've also tested the three resistors in the corner of the power board which...

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died

This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Vizio D50u-D1 Dead Set No Standby
                                by fharris1977
Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.

                                Hi all.

I started a thread while back regarding TV power supply standby circuitry as it is something I am not quite on top of.
SMPS theory and function is becoming more familiar, however the standby part is still a bit of a mystery.

Anyway, a friend has this TV with the above mentioned power supply board which has no standby voltage, nor any other voltages leaving the board.
The mains AC comes in fine, gets filtered and rectified with power is on the main filter cap as well as the transformer and drain pins of the ICE3B0665J, but that's it.

Hi All, I have an LG 50PK550 with the EAX61392501/10 EAY60968801 power supply board. When I turn it on it clicks and shuts off immediately, I have unpluged the power wires to to Zsus and Ysus board and it does the same thing. I have read up and replaced IC301 & d304 and checked the R927 R929 and all 3 fuses on the board and all appear ok. Still does the same, shuts off immediately with or without the z & ysus board hooked up. Any help would be appreciated. Thx
