    Trouble with Samsung LCD LNT4671FX/XAA

    Hello,
I have a Samsung LN-T4671F(LNT4671FX/XAA) and am having some trouble getting it to turn on/display/respond. Basically, it turns on, the IR (power light?) and source light flash for a bit I can see that the backlight is illuminated, but it does not respond to any button presses on the remote or TV. I can turn it off, but that is it. Also, I noticed that if I press buttons on the remote, the IR light (power light?) illuminates with each press.

I have read many many threads about the Samsung capacitor lawsuit (which I think I missed the window for) and I know my TV was one of the problematic models. After calling Samsung and getting no help from a clueless idiot who probably doesn't know what a TV is, I decided to open it up and take a look. I am a tech-savvy do-it-yourself kind of guy and immediately noticed that one of the problematic capacitors was bad (or looks like it).

So I ran over to Fry's and got a comparable replacement (original capacitor was 2200uF-10V and I bought a 2200uF-25V). Physically, it was a little bigger, but with some careful de-soldering, I managed to replace the bad capacitor.

Unfortunately, the problem remains after the replacement was installed:

I know that my TV's behavior is slightly different from the blinking red light and clicking that others are reporting. Can anyone offer some advice? Should I replace all the capacitors in that cluster even if the look OK?

So you do have backlights but no image on the screen?
Then you need to find out if you do Voltage at both ends of the SMD fuse (chassis as GND ref.)
Did you use the correcct type of caps for replacement?
They must be LOW ESR types not general purpose type.
Bad cap can look normal, I also replace all the caps except the main fileter caps when I do the repair.
I did not look at the video, it takes way too long to load.

      Thanks for the reply

      1. I have only replaced 1 capacitor so far. The original dead one was a 2200uF-10V and I replaced it with a 2200uF-25V. It is not a low-ESR but is rated for 105*C (it says LHK on the capacitor)

      2. The backlight works, but the screen remains black.

      3. I am contemplating replacing the other 4 capacitors to be safe.

OK, I saw the Video, that looks like when the panel is bad. I would try connecting the flat cable from the LCD panel to the T-CON board one at a time to see if you will get good picture on section of the screen.

I unplugged both LCD flat cables and plugged in one at a time. One of them did not make a difference, and the other gave me this:

Hmm. From my experience of what I see on the screen with all the cables connected is due to the panel, I did try new T-CON when T-CON is chap enough to gamble on just to see if it will fix the problem but I never have luck fixing it with new T-CON. You can try T-CON if it is cheap enough.

The panel is bad then, as I indicate in post #6.

I suppose replacing the panel is pricey....?

That's what I figured. Aside from eBay, any recommendations for selling the components?

                      Who wants them?

I have the same exact tv with almost the same problem when it started out you have a source light blink code and your power light blink code that means that have a power board issue and the source blink code means it is the main board but i would tackle the power board first
what I did to fix mine is that i replaced the 3 of the same value caps with 35v rubycon caps that where the same value i got nothing then i saw 2 1,000 smd caps that were bulging on the tcon board so I replaced it and presto i got a fully functional tv now the problem I have is that when the tv is warmed up and running for a while it starts to flicker with a horizontal line image splits in half so i am just going to replace all the caps on the power board and see if that cleans it up possibly just buy a main board

                          TV: Samsung QLED QE65Q7FNAT
                          PSU: BN4400940A

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r...

                          by marcinq
                          Hello,

I've got a problem with a Samsung UE60KS7000 that was given to me and said that there was a problem with the One Connect box but as I understand the TV should turn on even with the One Connect box disconnected (which it doesn't). There is no stand by light.

I've disconnected the Main Board from the PSU and when connecting to mains the backlight turns on which suggests the PSU might be ok. I've measured the voltages out of the PSU and they seem reasonable (like the labels say). The main board has no obvious burns, there are no shorts on the power rails anywhere....

                          Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
