    I have a film cap labeled
    F105J N
    400MPP1
    Can anyone tell me the value?

    105 usually = 1 uF. It is the value in pF with the 1st two digits in this case indicating 10 and the 3rd the is the multiplier (x10, the number of zeros after 1st two digits). 105 means 1000000 pF = 1uF.

        MPP = Metalized PolyPropylene which is usually for the High Pulse current circuit, so do not use the typical Metalized Polyester type. This is from SMPS power supply board, right?
