    Samsung LN40A630 Moving Colored Lines

Hi All. Sorry if this is a little long, but I've done a bit of troubleshooting already and would like to list the results I've encountered so far.

I have a Samsung LN40A630 LCD TV that just started having an issue the other day. When I turn on the TV, I get various colored, vertical lines moving about the screen, as well as some static looking horizontal lines/waves that also randomly run through the screen.
Eventually, if left on for a couple of minutes or so, the lines will fade away to a blank screen with the backlight noticeably still on. If I leave the TV alone and let it sit on, the lines and static will come back and the process happens anew.
There is no picture visible on the screen when this happens or at any time really; I plugged my laptop into the set via both HDMI and VGA, as well as a chromecast in a different HDMI port. I also turned on the TV with no video source connected at all and there is no difference.
I have turned on/off the TV multiple times and also left it unplugged from AC power overnight; the issues persists.

I'm not quite experienced enough to determine the exact cause of the problem, so I'm hoping the great community here can help me narrow some things down. I'm guessing it could be a bad power supply board or mainboard. I'm not sure if it's the T-CON board as I believe the lines on the screen are typically static when the T-CON goes bad, but I'm not ruling it out.
I have looked at the caps on the power supply board and none of them look bulged or leaking, but I know that doesn't necessarily rule out a bad cap.

I've attached several images of the screen during various phases of the lines/static motion. Also I attached a pic of the power supply board in case someone can see something I missed.

I really appreciate any help that can be offered. Luckily this isn't my primary TV, only a rarely used bedroom set, but I'd still like to avoid having to buy a whole new set if I can.

I did, thank you. Not certain exactly what the problem was, but I ended up removing all the cables and components from the TV and re-assembling them. After that, the TV starting working again.
I assume it was a loose connection somewhere, or some other intermittent issue that may rear it's head again at some point, but the unit is working fine for now and that kept me from having to buy a new TV, so I'm calling it good haha.

Colorful LCD Vertical Lines on Samsung ue55es8090
        by Falki
Hello there, ive recently found an older 55inch Samsung SmartTV.
Sadly it has vertical lines at the left and one line in the middle-right.

I have already tested out the connections and have looked at the soldered ribbons of the LCD panel to see if some contacts got loose by pushing them a bit but with no success.
I have factory resetted the TV as well but also with no luck.

I am afraid that it is indeed a LCD Panel issue but there are NO scratches or any impact-marks..

A similar issue has been posted as well but also with no actual response ...

        Samsung QE50Q67TAU - horizontal lines
        by Rubenlily
        Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...

        Samsung QN50Q60t lines on screen
        by jeyoung12
        Hi all
I have lines on the screen...which is an age old problem that can be remedied by watching Youtube videos and getting out the tape.
My issue (after successfully fixing a different sammy tv with a separate tcon board and isolating the side of the panel...):

This tv has an integrated tcon...so it is a bit more confusing when trying to isolate the clocks.
It has a c ribbon and i have taken each end out to see if that will isolate the lines. instead, it makes it much worse ALL over the tv!

So....i don't know what end of the C ribbon to work with...
