Have you check all your fuses? This unit never comes on right?

No it chimes up but never lights up. However the small light at the bottom of the screen stays on all the time while plugged in. How do I check the fuses?

Just thought of something, the y-main while connected has a lot of low sound clicking however the x-main does not.

Do this, reconnect everything again, hook up a source to HDMI 1 with a something playing like a DVd/Bluray or a music CD and see if you get audio.

Edit:

If your Ysus is clicking check your buffers. Thats how I found out I had a bad one was it was blown out the back of the board and drawing the Ysus down.

Ok, so the TV is working. The Ydrive upper and lower buffers are attached to the Ysus.

Carefully pull the Ribbon plugs off their sticky pads and gently pull up on the white push down pin connectors and then pull the board away from the Ysus after you un screw it.

Probably best to take the ymain board out first, seems to be the easiest way to remove the buffers.

Snap some photos of the back sides of the upper and lower buffer.

Next we will test them to see if they have any shorts.

Remove the Chocolates (the brown deals on the bottoms) See those 4x5 20 hole patterns?

After you remove those Chocolates you are going put your DMM into Diode mode, touch your probes together to see if you get a beep. Then you are going to take your GND probe and put it on one of holes on the 4x5 20 hole soldier points and take your positive probe and run it along the pins on the topside were the ribbon plugs into, going on both sides of the connector if you get ANY beeps you have a short.

You are going to do this for every 4x5 point and every connector on both upper and lower.

I have ran this TV with only one buffer attached that was not shorted and it worked (only the bottom of the picture was shown.

I am sure you can, I know samsung is pretty forgiving when it comes to running ysus without buffers attached, Do it at your own risk though.

I am not familar with that DMM but it yes, that is the Diode symbol.

definitely sounds like a short in buffer driving the voltage is down going into reset
