On my lg 55LX6500-UB it starts up then the LED back lights go dead but there is no sound and no picture with a flashlight test however the controller and control panel are fully functional.

Hey every one did we ever find a cure for this annoying 5 blinks issue?! I got mine from a pal and he said he changed main, and PS, and still got nothing better as results. I was thinking tcon board seeing how he never replaced that one. But who is to say he didn't get a bad main or ps off line. So anything helps thank you guys!Leave a comment:

I've got a question, how did you find out if there was ever sound? And how did you check the y main to see if it was bad? Also, from what I read should I just go get a good y main from jimmy or should I change the ymain and the ybuffer? Thank you for your help

Okay I haven't gotten this TV going yet. I still have sound and no video, and I changed out the ymain and upper buffer. Lower buffer is next. I saw on another post, a guy had this same kind of problem and he said it was the "ic" but I have no clue what that means. Anything will help.Leave a comment:

Okay so when everything is connected, it's turns on with a chime, sound and no picture.
When the ymain is unplugged, it turns on the same way, and when the ymain is connected, and the lower is connected it does the same thing, and when the upper and lower are disconnected but the ymain is connected it does the same thing also. The only time I get a different result is when the upper is connected lower is disconnected, nothing at all happens.Leave a comment:
