There shouldn't be any issue using 100V in place of 50V etc.

That's what I thought, Tom66. Do you have any thoughts on what I should do? At this point, I think I would be okay with making and installing that voltage divider that Drussel conceived and see if that works.
Well, I constructed a new light saber--err, I mean I constructed the voltage divider and installed it and all works well now. Thanks, Drussell. It's still a mystery, but at least this one is done. Here's hoping it doesn't fail down the road!
I have the E530 version of this TV. Mine would fire up and continue to run after I freeze sprayed just the IC. Didn't respond to freezing the cap or opto-isolater.
I replaced both the IC and cap, but still would not come on with a picture until the IC was freeze sprayed.
I'm going to try the voltage divider circuit trick and see if that cures it.
Thought it was fixed, I put in the voltage divider circuit, turned off and on several times.
Got a picture every time. Put the back on and crap, back to original problem. Took the back off, tried to turn on, but no picture. Quick shot of freeze spray and bam, powered on and got a picture.
I have this model again and this one did not work after replacing installing the mod. I've actually fixed about 6 of these before this and they all worked with the mod and just replacing the cap (never had to replace the IC again). This had a history of sometimes working, but when I got to it, there's no panel prime at all.
Guess I will have to go back to basics on it, but I thought I would see if anyone had any suggestions.
