Phillips 40PFL4908/F7 3/4 screen jumping fuzzy

I bought this tv as is.

The issue is almost like its double casting or shadowing from about 3 inches up to the top of the screen. But its also tinted slightly red on the top part of the screen double/ over casting shadows of the working 3" of the bottom of tg screen overtop of the picture on the rest of the screen and flickering.

I've taken the tv apart and poked around, I feel like the led\lcd panel itself is good. I flipped around the lvds cable and it did slightly worsen the problem. What are the odds it's the lvds cable? Everything I'm reading says they are rarely an issue. Any help is appreciated.

Hmm, not good, looks like a bad LCD panel to me :/...

Can you get a photo of the T-con board (top or bottom of the display panel)?

I don't think it's the panel. The panel only has 2 ribbon cables and fiddeling with them did nothing. The tcon board is mounted in the middle of the screen

Unplug left ribbon out of t-con. Is distortion gone on working part? Try for right ribbon too (connect left ribbon back.) If distortion goes on one side = bad panel confirmed.

I can't unplug the ribbons on the tcon its not that type of setup. The ribbons from the screen go to a small circuit board on the bottom lip of the screen, they cannot be unplugged. The the lvds cable goes from that small board to the main board idk if there is a tcon board

Post pictures of the boards in your set please. You probably can remove the ribbon cables, I have not yet seen ones that are soldered to the T-con.

Here is everything inside it. The lvds cable runs from the green circuit board to a one inch wide 8 inch long board with two ribbons on the bottom legde of the screen

Oh, that is unfortunate. It looks like your TV bonds T-con to panel, and the panel or the T-con has failed. Unfortunately, I do not see this being economical to repair, due to it needing a new LCD panel.

Also, this TV was not made by Philips but is instead a re-badged Funai TV, the same TV as Emerson, Sylvania, other junk like that - sadly Philips has taken to selling their name out to make a quick buck. Because of thsi I recommend avoiding their products in future.

Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

                            Hey everyone.

I have a 820-3787-06 board from a MBP A1398 which has a screen issue. The problem starts with a bit of noise just like old TVs when booting and when the OS is on, screen jumps are added to the little noise on the screen. The jumps are millisecond and go back to the original place.

Since there's a little crack in the corner of the screen, I thought it has to be the display. But to my surprise it wasn't since I tried it with a fully functioning screen.

The same issue isn't happening with an external display. I did a gpu/cpu stress test on external...

                            Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

                            by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

Vizio TV M50-C1 reboot cycle and static on screen
                            by spice_disc
I'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.

The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...
