    Ventura LCD19DVD-106(M) T V

Could anyone help me, this TV has no freeview inside and I don't have a box so I am putting a DVD in, the picture is fine but there is no sound. When the film is running the buttons on the set show the volume bar rising but there is no sound. I don't have a remote. If I could get sound I could give it to someone to watch DVD's

Normally most devices will un-mute automatically if you turn the volume up, though there could, of course, be an exception to the rule!

I would certainly look in the menus though for a speaker disable function that may have been triggered somehow although, again, usually most won't even show the volume bargraph if sound is disabled.

Do you hear any slight background hiss with your ear placed close to the speaker?

Have you tried both other inputs and other sources to rule out the DVD player or connection or that one TV input being at fault?
