Hi all! I recently came upon a nice 63" plasma that I thought couldn't be too hard to fix. After a lot of reading, I figured out that the x sustain is bad, after learning to unplug my sustains to test them. When I turn it on, I see a 1" thick discolored horizontal line bissecting the screen. I assume this problem is caused by one of the buffers, but have no idea where to go from here. Any tips on figuring this out? I'll try to get pics uploaded in just a moment.

Re: Samsung HP-R6372 1" thick horizontal line.
Bump. I'm asking this because I'm worried that what's causing this line is what caused the sustain to fail. I'd be pretty aggravated to replace the sustain and have it blow right away because I didn't fix the real problem. -
Re: Samsung HP-R6372 1" thick horizontal line.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpWZTnAXbLg might be this, if you try it, like he says be very careful, the ribbons are delicate and non-replaceable, as far as I know, as always be careful of HIGH VOLTAGE in certain sections of tv, can be deadly.Quit because THIS SITE LETS A ROGUE MEMBER TYPE ANY GARBAGE HE PLEASES AND THE POWERS THAT BE NEVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT SO HE NEVER QUITS. THEN YOU GET A PENALTY FOR RESPONDING TO HIS ATTACKS. BEEN GOING ON FOR WAY TOO LONG. DONE SUPPORTING A SITE THAT ALLOWS THIS BS.Comment

This is discoloration, not white or black due to no signal to the pdp. I had actually already watched that video hoping that was the solution. All of my connections appear to be solid.Comment

by IhandyrepairHi guys
I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.
never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the... -
by cubytusHi to all,
I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.
I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.
Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...1 Photo01-10-2024, 01:26 AM -

Hi,
Just now my Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN monitor gave up on me. On cold boots I get many vertical stripes going across the screen (see the attached picture). After it runs for 1-2 minutes those go away but there are horizontal stripes going across the whole screen no matter of the input and PCs I use. (couldn't take an picture of it since the image size goes to 20MB and the camera doesn't pick them up)
In a video about a 27" monitor with an similar issue the guy removes one resistor and supposedly the entire monitor goes back to life? For sure this fix is only temporary....-
