This is discoloration, not white or black due to no signal to the pdp. I had actually already watched that video hoping that was the solution. All of my connections appear to be solid.

Bump. I'm asking this because I'm worried that what's causing this line is what caused the sustain to fail. I'd be pretty aggravated to replace the sustain and have it blow right away because I didn't fix the real problem.Leave a comment:

Samsung HP-R6372 1" thick horizontal line.
Hi all! I recently came upon a nice 63" plasma that I thought couldn't be too hard to fix. After a lot of reading, I figured out that the x sustain is bad, after learning to unplug my sustains to test them. When I turn it on, I see a 1" thick discolored horizontal line bissecting the screen. I assume this problem is caused by one of the buffers, but have no idea where to go from here. Hello! I'm relatively new to working with electronics. I never really had an interest before, but I recently bought a large tv to repair and decided to do it myself. I'll probably stick around too, as I have an interest in building Megasquirt ECUs for several different auto tuning applications, and Im sure I'll learn quite a lot about circuitry from you fine folks.
