Hi everyone - new member here with an LG 32LN530B that's acting up. Last week I noticed a vertical line down the middle of the screen and the left side of the picture looked worse than the right. Still had sound and remote works. Over the course of an hour the picture gradually went away, to a gray screen with backlight and sound.
Reading the trouble shooting guide, I thought that sounded like the tcon board. I ordered a replacement from shopjimmy.com and put it in. Now, when first powered on, the screen flashes with white/gray (line still in the middle) and then after about a minute I get a somewhat clear picture there is still a line down the middle and the left side of the screen still looks bad (see pic).
I've tried different hdmi inputs and sources - no change. After reading through the trouble shooting guide here I'm wondering if the logic board isn't giving the tcon 5v but I'm hesitant to throw any more money at the tv. The tv is only 13 months old (one month out of warranty). Any suggestions on how to proceed? I don't know how to check voltages - but do have a multi-meter.
Thanks!
Ian
