    toshiba 40ft2u1 works cold

so this TV I picked up I was told by the original owner that it quit working. It was left unplugged for 6 months. When I plug it in it works flawless. And it'll work all day but if you turn it off and you try to turn it back on the back light comes on and then shuts off but the green light stays on no 12 volts no picture no action on the screen without backlight either. It was basically dead. sometimes if you unplug it and plug it back in upon entering the power button the green light wouldn't even turn on either. After probing power supply voltages in jumping PS on to ground and inverter on to ground I found out the main board was at fault. So I figured what did I had to lose so I threw the whole main board in the oven at 385 degrees for 10 minutes. Worked like a charm TVs back to brand new. Just thought I'd share in case anybody runs into this particular model with this problem.

I would probably try to reflow the processor next time instead do the fact that the buttons suffered minor melting at least it still work.
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

I got a Toshiba doing some strange things when warm. If I tap it after about 20 min the backlights flicker off if I tap the unit again they come back on.

      Audio persists through this too.
