    Panasonic EZ47VEB VHS/DVD recorder

    Hello again

I have been attempting to fix a Panasonic EZ47VEB VHS/DVD recorder for a friend. The problem is no Freeview - blank white screen during tuning. I have found several references to a similar problem, but not for this specific model. Similarly, I have managed to acquire a couple of service manuals for similar models but none for this exact model.

On initial inspection, there was a swollen capacitor in a location similar to other models. I replaced this, as well as a few others in the same area, but to no avail.

The similar repair to other models talks about a U81 error (which I have not experienced), caused by a faulty voltage converter. It does not seems unreasonable to assume that the same component might be at fault here. However, without a suitable service manual it's difficult for me to identify and test this, especially since the suspected component on the board I have is not marked in the same way as the component in other models (identified as an MD5001T).

In the first picture, I have replaced all the capacitors within the red box (C11711 was the swollen one). The second picture corresponds with roughly the same area on the bottom of the board - you can see that the board has been hot around the area of Q11700. I guess that the potentially faulty converter is either IC11700 or IC11370 (or perhaps their associated transistors, Q11700/Q11370?). These chips are marked "1016 817".

Does anyone have any experience of this fault (maybe even in this model!) or can help me with a service manual, or can identify these components? Probably the same MD5001T?

    Thanks

Panasonic DMR-EZ48V DVD/VHS combo - DVD recorder part not working
    by Ady2017
I have recently inherited a Panasonic DMR-EZ48V DVD/VHS combo after my dad died. I tried to record a DVD with it and it worked for about 5 mins before it suddenly stopped. Since then it just keeps making a noise like it is trying to read a disk but then gives a 'no read' error message. I have tried numerous DVD's and it is definitely the recorder that is the problem. I did find a youtube video showing that capacitors on the power board were a common problem on these and so I went ahead and replaced the capacitors but it is still doing the same thing. I now think that it could be the laser that...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
    by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

DVR recorder Switching power supply Failure
    by sam_sam_sam
When I originally started with my DVR recorder it had 4 individual switching switching power supply’s that were sh*t so I bought a 7 amp 12 volt switching power supply and modified the output plug and put a four output power supply cable to match the input power supply cable inputs

Which worked for over 14 years until a few days ago when the cameras went dark no picture anymore well it turns out now the switching power supply has stopped working altogether now so I have to troubleshoot what has happened to this power supply more later on today what I found

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
    by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

Dell G15 5515 RGB Keyboard Not Detected (Compatible Keyboard, Possible BIOS/EC Issue?)
    by NotEnough
    Hi everyone,

I'm working on a Dell G15 5515 (Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3050 Ti) and recently installed a compatible 4-zone RGB keyboard and controller (for Dell G15 5510/5511/5515 models). While the keyboard functions for typing, the RGB lighting is not detected by Alienware Command Center (AWCC), which displays “No AlienFX devices found.”

    What I've Tried So Far:
    • Reseated the cables.
    • Reinstalled AWCC and AlienFX services.
    • Attempted BIOS downgrade but no improvement.
    • Inspected ribbon cables for damage.
    • Explored the possibility of BIOS or
