    LN-T5271F samsung possible panel swap?

I was given a 52 inch samsung lcd 120hz tv for free. Really a beautiful tv. It has a ghost picture with intermittent lines for about 30 minutes until warmed up. Process repeats always until warmed. It has the common tab bond fault ( I tried to repair but had no luck)and I hate to part it out. I am on the lookout for a donar tv to fix it. The question I have is would a sony or other brand work if I can locate a 52 inch screen? I understand I might have to custum a few things to make a fit. Has anyone ever done this?

You need to get the spec sheet of the original panel and the substitute panel to get the pin out of the T-CON board and the inverter board, the voltage and the current requirement of the boards.
Best to get the same make and model panel since you have to be able to use the mounting holes and bracket for all the boards.
This is the hack for the panel of the same brand but not the same model:

So just think what you will have to do if it is not the same brand and model.

Yes I used a Sony Kdl-52xbr3 panel also manufactured by Samsung and it worked perfect I know there's others out there but when it comes to panel swaps the 120hz seems to be a wide range as long as same manufacturer and ribbon cable connections are identical. I might want to note that I also used the Sony's tcon board just in case there were any differences with voltage output although I didn't see any. I was quite surprised to see the outcome myself but I figured if I burn something up I wasn't losing anything because both TVs were crap. The Samsung had a broken panel and the Sony was missing on the boards

also I had to modify the metal frame just slightly and one screw on the top could not be inserted because it was in the way of a ribbon cable so you need to be super careful with that

I'm about to attempt to hack in a sharp LC60LE632U LCD panel into a Sony KDL-60ex700 . They're both 60 inch and they're both 120 Hertz but they're also manufactured by sharp well at least the panels are and the T CON board look very similar so I'm going to attempt to use the Sharp t-con board with the Sony and see what happens. Both TVs were free anyway so it really doesn't matter..

but yes I agree with bud. You need to be super careful in study the spec sheets on both panels before you attempt this if this project means a lot to you and your Riding on it. if you've got money invested
