Samsung smart tv logo and bad panels

Hi all quick question when a samsung smart tv starts up it shows you the logo befor the tv picture

If the logo is ok and displayed correctly then the picture is not does that confirm the panel is ok or is the logo that simple ie mono that it can display correctly even on a bad panel?

Maybe the backlight isn't turning on before the tv displays the start up logo.

Usually it means the panel is ok, although some Samsung panels have intermittent faults where they can go bad after 5 minutes.

My brother had a UE46ES8000 with a bad panel, only occurred after 1-2 minutes usage. On 2D mode it would take much longer.
