Here is a pic of the cap I put in...

    Tom,

Not sure what you mean by windings, but here is a pic top and bottom of the (what I think is) the inductor...
Well if Tom has sighted it as 1kV there's always a chance there's may be a production deviation from the schematic. I just saw it and thought I'd mention it.

At least you will be able to get the part numbers

      Ah-ha!......

LOOKS like T211 has failed, and the stream of smoke has coated the original cap....

Look at your picture--That T211 has huge burned side to it!

Yea, I was able to clean most of the burnt off. There DOES appear to be some damage to the yellow tape..

Is it advisable to take that off and see what's underneath???

That's a very good point. I saw that and concluded it was the chemicals burning on the cap coating the transformer. But now after your insight, with the way the board actually sits, it is the reverse because the transfomer is below the cap and the fumes would be heading towards the cap as this board sits vertical .

            Nice pickup.

Actually, another rethink, they appear to be inductors, so does that suggest a high current draw?

you said it was smoking, now not. Bit beyond my knowledge ATM.

              Edit: I honestly don't know
