I would say TCON if you weren't getting the noise out of the speakers. Still possible it could be some interference from the bad tcon causing it, I suppose. Can you unplug the LVDS cable at the bottom of the tcon and see if the sound persists?Comment

Unplugged the LVDS and the screen turns on BLACK, no horizontall lines and no picture (due to the unplugged LVDS) the noise from the speakers is still present and it doesnt change whether I tunr the volume down or up.Comment

It is a constant noise with no peaks, so what I am saying it is just noise, and no changes in tones. So the T-CON seems to be fine?
However when I press MUTE on the remote controller the noise is gone (dont know if this is rellevant)Last edited by CroTech; 01-25-2015, 11:33 AM.Comment

I noticed there is a capacitor on the controller board (the one where the inputs go)... I did not replace it since it is a SMD capacitor, even though I managed soldering it on a few other boards. I will replace it just in case even though it is not bulged.
