A friend time ago gave me his TV LCD 15" Daewoo DLP-15B1M not working well, as he said. The TV powers up, backlight works properly, but the image displayed flickers horizontally when the device warms up. This happens in every video mode (synth, av, rgb), so i think it's a problem of some kind of resonating circuit into the main circuit board. Once warmed up the image is stable and is well displayed. It doesn't depend on what power supply it's plugged to, ac, dc, battery 12v, it simply doesn't display anything after fired up, than black bands start to move, vertically, first one, then two and so on, until the picture starts to be visible but still flickering. After some time the image becomes less flickering and eventually it's well displayed. If i shut down the device and repower instanly, the flickering restarts but in a minute goes away. Another thing: the time that the tv has been unplugged or shut down is worth on the stabilizing time after powerup. Leaving the tv apart for days or months helps to reduce the time necessary to stabilize the picture. In other hand if that time is very short (secs, or mins) the time required to stabilize is short. What can i do to solve this annoying problem? I have basical experience, soldering kit, multimeter, and a bit of experience in electronics (i can recognize caps, diodes, ics, resistors, fuses and other stuff).

by DrvLikHellHello everybody! It's been nine years and I'm back again with the same monitor that several people here helped me fix back then. The first time, I replaced two caps as was recommended here and the original problem was solved. Then it started acting up a few years later and I came back for a parts list and replaced a few more caps (I didn't make a post about that and don't remember which ones), and again the problem was solved. This time, however, I'm not sure if it's caps.
The monitor stays on but certain colors will flicker. Generally it's darker colors like dark greys or dark blues,...-

by mrsithHello again good souls.
Got an UE70TU7100. The TV starts up just fine, but right hand side of the screen is horizontal striped a bit, and there are some flickering horizontal lines on the whole length of the screen. I've seen similar static horizontal lines sometimes, when applying the cut tape method and covering wrong number of pins.
I've cleaned every connector with ipa, tried cut tape method on main LVDS ribbon as well as small ribbons, connecting the panel boards at the bottom. Tried squeezing the bezel and playing around COFs, but no reaction at all. COFs and... -
by GuybrushAfter watching too many electronics repair videos (but not monitors) I came across a dell monitor with flickering horizontal lines. I haven't purchased it yet so don't have much info, but from the video and pic do you think there is a chance of repair or is just simple panel damage?
Seller claims; "but due to sun damage has some grey lines going through it"

by reessiHello,
The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..
They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.
Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.
I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from...-

by titomno2Hi guys,
I post my problem here because I think it could be a capacitor related issue (Asus support on this particular subject is non-existing).
So the computer is a Zephyrus-S17-GX735LXS-26T and the strange behavior is seen.
On cold start most of the time the internal screen is detected and a picture it works fine until shutdown, sleep or deep sleep.
Then the screen won't work for a long period of time.
If I wait 1 or 2 hours it work again most of the time.
When it doesn't work the batterie indicator blink 3 times white stop and the same schematic is repeated... - Loading...
