    Panasonic TC-54PS14 7 clicks

    Help all (1st time post):

I've gained a little bit of knowledge on this TV from searching this forum and other internet sources, and think I've partially figured out that SU & SD boards are bad, SC probably is, but that A might also be faulty.

    Here's what I've done:
    1st,
-isolated SU board, resistance was 1.08Mohm (spec 2.1)
-isolated SD board, resistance was 1.06Mohm (spec 2.1)
-isolated SC board, got no or variable readings for resistance
-at power up, went to 7 click sequence
    2nd check,
-put jumper on SC50 (stuck alligator clip on 2 pins)
    -removed ribbon at TP82
-at power up, went to 8 click sequence
-So now, does this mean the A board is bad also? I also tried this test w/o the jumper clip at SC50, but same result.

Am I doing anything wrong with the test procedure? It appears I need SU, SD boards (some available used) and get the SC repaired. If I have to do A board also, it appears to be getting uneconomical to fix this TV.

Oh, and I've only limited electronics experience, this TV and another are a buddies that I'm taking a flyer on fixing (we each keep one if they can be fixed).
    Thanks in advance,
    Fran K

The ribbon would be known as SC20? yes? isolated sd/su (including screws), jumper SC50, Sc20 remains connected, power up.

I'd expect 7 blinks still by the sounds of things

Had to set this project aside for awhile, but yes the ribbon that was disconnected was at SC20.

Doesn't seem worth the risk on replacement parts to try and fix this one.

If you can isolate and confirm SC is 7 blink then confirm sd/su are good,
        then about $100

or look for good used TNPA4844 and it should fix it unless the panel is cracked or shorted

But what about low resistance on sd/su boards?

Panasonic TH-50PX8EA Black screen, only relay clicks
            by Rensiee
            Hello,
I have been reading a few threads on here regarding Panasonic plasma tv's. I've found one thread which explains the same problem as mine, unfortunately the thread has not been completed.
I got a free tv (TH-50PX8EA) from a friend which shows no screen. When plugged in only one red light shows up and when pushing the ON button, the red LED turns of and will only turn on again when pressing the ON button again.

When plugging in the TV i hear two relays click fast and after a few seconds the third relay clicks.
I have measured the voltage in the VSUS line, which...

Looking for help diagnosing a 65" Panasonic Viera TV - TH-65DX700Z (Turns on - Clicks - Turns off)
            by mostachio
            Hi Badcaps,

I've had a friend discard a TH-65DX700Z Pansonic Viera Television and I've decided to have a go at repairing it. If possible could I please get some advice in terms of diagnosing the problem so I can purchase the appropriate parts for repair whether it be components, a repair kit or a replacement board. I am happy to post pictures if required.

            TV Details:

            Model # - TH-65DX700Z

            Symptoms:

The television turns on and displays a picture then makes a clicking sound and turns off.

I haven't opened it up yet but...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
            by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting πŸ˜‚.

            by MMH3
            Hello,

i have many 5050sff. all of them, and how i experienced over many years for all about 250 DELLs goin through my hands, are fully flashable and can be serviced in any way when the service_mode jumper is set.
Never ever i experienced problems with that.

Now i have one 5050sff machine, where this jumper isnt working at all.
I do not get the normal messge that the jumper is set when booting and a short test with FPT just confirms this. Everything is locked -->> EVEN for reading !?

The history of the machine is that i used it in my office...

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
            by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...
