LG 50pa5500 plasma turns off

Hello Everyone, I am looking for some help with my LG 50" Plasma 50pa5500.

It just shut off in the middle of watching a movie and now it will turn on and all of the menu functions will work, but as soon as it receives a signal it shuts off. It does not matter which input is chosen it will show the picture and sound for about 1 sec and then power off. This even happens with an antenna signal. each time it is the same thing as soon as the signal is received the TV shuts off.

Does anyone know what would cause this? I am a novice at repairing electronics and have removed the back panel to look for any signs of damage on the boards but did not find anything.

Hmm, interesting fault.
Can you try and see if accessing ISM Method in the Options menu, then INVERSE or COLOUR makes the set shut off quicker?
Could be bright images causing shutdown? (PDP uses more power as brightness changes, this can lead to picture dependent faults.)
